The PenBay Community Collaboration exists to connect and strengthen the business communities of Knox County and the surrounding region.
We are not a chamber of commerce replacement — we are a collaboration of groups including Rock Coast Entrepreneurs, Camden Area Business Group, and Rockland Main Street, Inc., with more business and trade associations joining us soon.
Our mission is simple: to be the connector of our midcoast business communities.
The PenBay Showcase & Job Fair is Midcoast Maine’s premier annual event celebrating the strength, innovation, and collaboration of our local business community. Designed to bring together entrepreneurs, small businesses, nonprofits, and job seekers, this high-energy event blends the excitement of a regional trade show with the practical value of a community job fair.
Held each spring at the iconic Samoset Resort, the Showcase is more than just an expo—it’s a grassroots movement driven by the Penobscot Bay Community Collaboration, a partnership between Rock Coast Entrepreneurs, Camden Area Business Group, and Rockland Main Street. Together, we’ve revived a beloved regional tradition with fresh energy, broader access, and a renewed focus on economic opportunity.
Whether you're looking to grow your brand, hire great talent, or simply connect with the people and organizations that make Midcoast Maine thrive, the PenBay Showcase & Job Fair is your platform to shine.
We’re proud to host this event annually and continue building a stronger, more connected business community—one booth, handshake, and new opportunity at a time.
Business After Hours is back—with a fresh approach, broader reach, and a renewed commitment to connection and community. Hosted by the PenBay Collaboration, this monthly networking event takes place on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:00 PM, rotating between businesses and organizations across Knox County and surrounding Midcoast Maine communities.
This isn’t your traditional business mixer. Unlike past models, there’s no membership required to host—just an affiliation with one of our collaboration partners, such as Rock Coast Entrepreneurs, Camden Area Business Group, Rockland Main Street, or other local organizations working together to strengthen the regional business network.
Each Business After Hours event is an opportunity to:
Hosting comes with a donation of your choosing, and you can designate one of our member organizations as the beneficiary—supporting the same community that supports you.
As we build our 2026 schedule, we invite you to join this grassroots movement to keep Midcoast Maine connected. Whether you're a business owner, nonprofit leader, or community supporter, Business After Hours is your place to build, belong, and be part of the collaboration.
Celebrating growth, new beginnings, and local success stories—that’s what the PenBay Collaboration Ribbon Cutting Initiative is all about.
This community-driven effort is designed to support and amplify new businesses, expansions, relocations, and major milestones across Knox County and surrounding Midcoast Maine. Through our collaboration with organizations like Rock Coast Entrepreneurs, Camden Area Business Group, Rockland Main Street, and others, we’re proud to promote the exciting moments that mark progress in our region.
Whether it’s a grand opening, a new space, or a business celebrating years of service, the PenBay Ribbon Cutting Initiative helps shine a spotlight on these achievements by:
There’s no cost to participate—just a willingness to celebrate your journey with the broader community. This initiative is open to members of our partner organizations and other local businesses aligned with the mission of building a stronger, more connected Midcoast economy.
Let us help you make your big moment even bigger.
Because every ribbon cut is another thread in the fabric of a thriving community.
